The g15 raid is the combination of our classic, compact semi-geodesic design with a new ultra-lightweight flysheet. The result is our lightest geodesic style ever; 1.70 kg of free-standing, wind-cheating, weather-beating tent. Despite its low weight, it still offers full all-year, all-climate performance and protection. The only downside is the shorter life of the flysheet through UV-degradation, so if you’re planning on using a tent a lot, we suggest looking at our g15 ultra.

The inner tent has large mesh side panels for greater air permeability, but these will mean you could need a slightly warmer sleeping bag than normal in winter. The top panel remains as a standard taffeta fabric to prevent any condensation from dripping on you. Weight is also reduced through the use of lighter fabrics for both the inner canopy and groundsheet as well (compared to our trek and ultra ranges).

The g15 raid has a single rear vent. The compact footprint and relatively small porch of the g15 means that only a minimal amount of moisture can be trapped (causing condensation), and consequently, front vents were of limited value.
