The g20 trek xt is our biggest-selling geodesic model thanks to its enduring popularity with cycle-tourers. The free-standing nature of the 3-pole design makes it easy to pitch on any ground conditions, and the large porch with its extra satellite pole provides plenty of space for bikes and gear, cooking, or sitting out bad weather.

The g20 trek xt is pitched inner-first. In our opinion, this is still the best system for geodesic designs as it reduces the complexity of the flysheet and is far easier to tension evenly. With a little practice, it takes around 10 minutes to pitch.

About 60% of the cost of a tent is fabric, and the greatest part of this is invested in the flysheet. The g20 trek xt is made from a 40-denier, silicon-coated (both sides), nylon rip-stop fabric, and gives what we believe to be the best balance between cost, durability and strength, with only a small weight penalty.
