After the launch of the Sigma range of single-wall tents using our X-tex fabric, it was a logical extension to add bivi-bags to our collection. Our range consists of 4 models - the Moonbeam, Rainshdow, Cloudburst and Stormchaser.
The Moonbeam is an ultralight bivi made from DCF (Dyneema Composite Fabric) and is the only model NOT made using X-tex fabric, so condensation issues could arise in very damp conditions. DCF itself is as waterproof as X-tex (both have a hydrostatic head in excess of 10,000 mm), and has the added benefit of being extremely lightweight. The Moonbeam is best used on top of a sleeping pad rather than this being inserted inside the bag. The Moonbeam is a simple design with a drawcord collar around the head/neck.
The Rainshadow uses X-tex fabric on both the top and bottom, thus giving the best condensation management possible. Like the Moonbeam, this is best suited with the sleeping pad being under the bag, and not inserted inside. The Rainshadow is a simple design with a drawcord collar around the head/neck and is available in two sizes - regual and extra-long.
The Cloudburst has an X-tex upper and a TPU-laminate base. It has a volumetric cut (with side-walls) for greater internal volume making it more suitable for colder conditions (warmer sleeping bags). The Cloudburst has a zip-entry on one side, and has a separate mesh panel for protection against insects.
The Stormchaser is a poled-bivi-bag, having a hoop to create an almost tent-like shelter. It also has a separate mesh door panel.
